Hi all and welcome
Just a brief introduction and a little more about me and my blog direction.
Ever since I can remember I have wanted to become a doctor. Unfortunately, I made a few bad life choices after school and not going away to study was one of them. When I was younger I was very shy and insecure. I dreaded the idea of leaving home to go and study and I lacked confidence in myself. I was afraid that I would choose medicine and then find that I was not able to do it. I did not want to fail and I certainly did not want my parents to waste money.
I then considered graphic design but the same fears kept me from pursuing that too.
As a result I did not study after school, but instead started working straight away and did a part time course in Office Administration through Damelin Management School and some computer courses through George College.
I have regretted not having the courage to follow my dream for a long time, but I have eventually made peace with it and just know that if I ever have the opportunity to live again, I will make my dream come true. That being said if I won the lotto tomorrow I would resign immediately and do my medical degree.
Most of my interests are orientated around Science, Biology, Health, the Human Body and Medicine. Traditional as well as natural medicine and alternative healing. I am also interested in a few other “non traditional” things like astrology and numerology
It is for this reason that most of my blog content with be related to any one of the above subjects, with a focus on Health. These are the things that I am passionate about and am well knowledged in and they are the things I care about.
While I am a perfectionist and pride myself in being quite well knowledged in many subjects, I am NOT a doctor and any advice within this blog is not a medical opinion. It is the combination of hours of research and my own conclusion I’ve made from my combined research.
It should also be said that I support both traditional medicines as well as natural and alternative healing. This does not mean that I believe that one is better that the other. In my own life I choose not to use drugs except where there is no alternative for me. In other words: I believe in living a healthy lifestyle, getting the most out of my diet and supplementing my diet with Vitamins. Where possible I will use natural medicines to treat non life threatening things e.g. I would use tea tree oil on a small cut, or burn Neroli oil to calm anxiety. But for anything serious I will always see a doctor first and get his opinion on complementary or alternative treatments.
It goes without saying that any serious medical condition should never be ignored and you should seek a medical opinion immediately.
I hope that you all enjoy and that you find the information within these pages useful, informative and accurate. Like I said, I am a perfectionist and every post is researched and checked for accuracy several times before going up.
But I am also only human and mistakes do happen, so should you pick something up in any of my post that you think is an error or there is content you do not agree with, please feel free to post a comment and I will respond and review.
All comments are welcome, your criticism and feedback is what helps me build a better blog
Regards and thank you for visiting my pages.

Hello Nerine, You have a great Bio and it is a shame that many people are afraid to take that change in life. I know exactly what you are talking about. I too always wanted to be a Doctor and worked in a Hospital for 10 years and I loved it. I studies Cardiology with a Heart Dr. and wanted to learn to work in Cardiac Rehab. in the hospital, but they decided to hire a RN instead of me, so I stopped the studying. One other thing I was afraid of and that was to become sober. I just started here on WordPress, but have my own Blog and write many articles on HubPages.com.
I’m going to check out your blog and If you like visit mine @ http://www.thecleanlife-mark.blogspot.com or
